Can anyone tell me what type of wood this is? Seems like some great wood.......lot of mass to it. The bark slips right off and the wood underneath has a distinctive pattern. Easy splitting wood.

Haven't burned any yet. It's for next season.

I am not an expert but it looks like Ash to me
But I am usually wrong
