Question:
Dear Sirs: We have an old Lange woodstove which we would like to install in my husband's office. The pieces of stove pipe are metric and our local stove place carries only Vermont Castings, which is not metric. We need to get an elbow and several pieces of stove pipe to go into the wall. Since you carry Jotul I thought perhaps the stove pipes might be compatible with Lange. Our stove is dark green and the pipe we have is dark green. We would like to find a similar color or can make the elbow and wall pipe black or stainless if we have to. Can you help us out? Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Frances Ferriss
Answer:
The way it's usually done is to use an adapter at the stove to convert to a 5" or 6" pipe, and then use regular pipe. It will be difficult to match the pipe in any way, so it may be best to go to black. There are many sources for these adapters.
