I know there are a lot of variations of this . I like the whole thing in the wagon part . Just got an X27 for Xmas

Looked like a 'Faff' on at first but destroyed that round in no time.

Just tried this on straight grained ash that had been dead standing for 6-8 years . Good success on shorter (16") cuts with diameters 12" and less. But got the x27 stuck real good on bigger longer sections. (And yes it's sharp)
Now need video on efficient stuck axe removal
 
It always looks good when splitting frozen European birch and similar wood. If that's what you have, then you, too, can split like an YouTube champ!
