We took a day trip To Odiorne State Park in Rye, NH today. Looking south at the next point of land down from the park was what looked to be a large flock of Cormorants sitting on the rocks. We took a walk down and did not expect this. There are literally several hundreds if not over a thousand small stone cairns put up by visitors to the rocky point. There are more than meets the eye in the pictures as they are made from the local stone and blend in very well. Every two feet or so there is one, and the area is close to an acre in size.
I have to believe it is pretty cool to see on a foggy morning or at sunrise.
View walking towards the point.
This one the wife made.
