Looks like a new SIlverado from the back and if its a 2500 your barely breakin a sweat with it. YOu could go at least twice as high.

Nice score.
Did you go back & get it all or keep loading after the pic?
Some big rounds there I'd hate to leave behind ;)

Don't mind the mule, load the wagon :)

It got a good workout with that wet stuff! What is that, some kind of Maple?

Its hard to tell from the back. Apparently they make their cabs in exactly the same way.It actually looks just like my 90s SIlverado from that angle. The new F150s are nice trucks as well

You know when you can tell a man from a boy? When he buys a brand new truck and ain't afraid to load 'er up with a heap of firewood RIGHT OFF THE BAT!!

Atta boy......I'm proud of ya! Welcome to the nuthouse...... You'll fit in just fine around here.

My wife looked at me like I was nuts when I loaded the dogs in the back seat of my Tundra the day I got it. I said.. hell, they are the only ones that are ever gonna ride back there. It's their truck too!

Yup, 2010 F150 lucked out on price and mileage 16k miles. Dave the rest of the wood you see in the pic is my driveway where i split. Not sure on what kind of wood as I am a noob to identifying. Thinking oak though?

this weeks total score. Think mix of oak, ash and some other im not sure of. It's the wood on the right side that has a darker bark with a little red in it.

Looks like Ash to me. Hopefully not Poplar. One log on top rear has that poplar look, but the rest looks Ash. Nice beech in the back too. Love that stuff.
Stuff in the pile is not the same as the stuff on the truck. Maple looking in the truck.

My wife looked at me like I was nuts when I loaded the dogs in the back seat of my Tundra the day I got it. I said.. hell, they are the only ones that are ever gonna ride back there. It's their truck too!

I was working a car dealership washing cars at the ripe age of 14. I got paged to the show room by one of the salesmen. When I got there he gave me the keys to a New Buick Riviera, asked me to put plastic on the drivers seat, and bring it down front. I did it and went back to the wash bay.

20 min later I was paged to the show room again. This time the sales man asked me to come to the back of the lot with him. As we walk down the lot I see a huge farmer getting out of the Riviera and getting into the back of the cattle box on his old Ford pick up. He hands me a 30lb piglet. I said what am I to do with this? He said put it in the back seat of the Riviera. I stand there stunned! He comes out with two more piglets(one under each arm), looks me in the eyes and says Pigs paid for the car, the pigs get to ride in the car!

He tossed the three of them in and drove away. The salesmen said he had never done business with the guy before, he walked in asked how much to buy a Riviera, took it for a test drive, then reached into his pocket, pulled out the cash.

So there is no story about how people use new cars or trucks that has shocked me since then.

Later in the day when I was telling the sales manager the story, he just looked at me and said,
"It's just a car, they build them every day"

It was a real eye opener of a day for a 14 yr old, who dreamed of what owning a car must be like.

Hauled almost 20 loads with this guy so far. Added air bags and an onboard air system specifically for hauling wood. Even hauled the new stove home with it!

Nice but needs larger/longer box.

Nice but needs larger/longer box.

Bigger box would be nice, but it does the job. Takes most of the day to cut, load, unload, split and stack already so any bigger of a bed and I'd be out all day. It's just about the right size for me. I've considered trailering wood but like I said, I spend enough time with what I can fit. Any more and it would take me too long per load.

OK, what's that stuff, White Oak? That would be heavy...

BTW, you might want to change your thread title so folks don't think you locked your keys in there. ;)
