Burned all weekend at my camp. Temps below freezing every night and 4 inches of snow on Saturday. Warmer today and going to the high 70's tommorrow. Crazy weather.

Willhound, what stove do ya have at camp?

Hey Corie
An old Fisher. Mama Bear, I think. Here is a shot from a thread I started quite a while back "Things I have burned"

https://www.hearth.com/econtent/index.php?ACT=24&fid=4&aid=561_v2SvJ4Bvp2WOM0EiSNAO

Not very "EPA" friendly, but throws quite a good heat, and the price was right, given to me by someone that had to remove it from their main house to satisfy their insurance company. Anything with a rear exiting pipe won't pass code here anymore.

26* this morning, and we got a few inches of snow last night, and more snow is due today. The snow pack is gone, and the trees are greening up and the flowers are poping out.... but its never to late in the season for some snow :) The Mansfield is nice a toasty.

Im still burning in Northern CT. Burning up! I did yard work all day, and then jumped in the pool and cooked myself in the sun! Ahhhhh!

MountainStoveGuy probably drives right past my place some days. I'm at 7000 feet in the Rockies located about halfway between the High Country and Boulder. The weather is more moderate down here at this lower altitude although we have seen it blizzard in late August - complete with a foot of snow. Uncommon - but it can happen.

Gotta agree about Colorado. After growing up in the Southern USA it only took one visit to the mountains above Boulder to convince me to stay. Costs of housing and such were less expensive a few decades back, but the best parts of Colorado are still very reasonable. You don't have to win the lottery to live in the mountains....living here is the same as winning.

The second week of April was it for me - had the stoves and hearths cleaned out in time for family on Easter. Ran the furnace a few times in April, but I'm done burning until September/October here in MD. Temps in the 40s are no issue when you're in the 60s and 70s during the day.

How much pine did you go through so far this year with the Mansfield? How did it compare to your old Heritage?

Hey, Unless you live in Fairfield County, you're supposed to be a Red Sucks fan....;)

I burned as late as May 19th, but I think I'm finally done.

I'm on my second consecutive no burn day. The firebox is loaded and ready to start if we get a cold snap though. I get to sleep in an extra 15 minutes or so every morning now too.

NEVER!!! Not even if I moved to Boston!! LOL CT is a Yankee state! Latest poll (not sure where i saw it) showed that CT has most Yankee fans, then Redsox, and last was the Mets. Too bad the standings werent in that order......:-(
