I wouldn't be saying that you're having "no more kickback". That's really taunting the saw gods.

I had the 395 kick back a bit during a bore cut a few weeks ago, I am glad I wasn't going WOT with that thing.
my 460 has never kick back always thinking about it "kick back" just never happen yet
I bought a 460 off ebay and the first time I used it, it about broke my leg. It came straight back and hit me in my thigh and I thought I broke it. Sold it soon after, and bought a 7900 and love it.

You know any saw can kick back, right?
yes i do and that 460 kick back is sure to wake you up in a hurry (I can see why he sold it) I always have the fear of that monster bar coming back with alot of power! I set my body and head off to the side of the bar just in case

OK did some talking around and came up with a couple of ideas that I want to bounce off the group. How about 20" ArborPro Narrow Kerf Bar & Chain Combo (20NK-78)(Item # BCC 20 SJ50) ? And or a non EPA muffler (Item # 544 02 83 01). Both from Bailey's, and both say they offer "increased performance".

I know dozens of firewood cutters locally. I know none with modded saws.

muffler and upgrades help a percentage, but are not you trying to get a 50% or 100% increase in power and speed?
I am not an advocate of overkill for ego sake, but as harley hog says, 'there is no replacement for displacement'

actually, I don't need 50 -100%, just some. The saws I'm looking at aren't that much more powerful then the one I have.
