Ariens wood splitter

Hey guys
I have chance to grab an Ariens 35 ton splitter used once, at least that was he says online, for 1,200
looks like at Home Depot it is 2,000 new

Anybody have any experiences with these
looks similar to an MTD style but didn't know if it was the same , has a Subaru engine
hopefully I will be looking at it tomorrow

I spent more for less splitter. If it's not a long drive I'd take a few choice rounds with me and check it out.

I can say that my 27 ton is a bit oversized for most of what I split. It does all I need wit hease.
