It's fire contained in a metal box inside your house. There is no such thing as 100% safe. I don't care if you make the liner out of "zomg it's teh strongest/safest metal and insulation on earth wtfbbq". Nothing is 100% secure. Propane and natural gas explode. Electrical wiring causes fires. Stoves and/or chimneys cause fires.
