Thanks for the update. Typically an old insert like this breathes very easily. They usually are not draft-sensitive, but in this case, it needed a bit of help. I'm glad that the extension worked out.

Do you have any pictures of your finished project? Also, where did you get the transition plate? Looking to do the same.
