He says the PSC motor doesn't play well with Quadrafire controllers and that the C-Frame is closer to the original manufacturer specs.
The one I removed is not a C-Frame motor. I bought the stove used in December and the owner said the combustion blower was replaced with original OEM and used for one season. The stove had sat unused for a couple of years, however, before I purchased it. Maybe humidity and such had it's way with those bearings?
Any reason the C-Frame motor wouldn't work? Dimensionally it all seems the same. The only thing spec wise different is the amps. The one I took out is 1.8 amps and the possible replacement is 1.2 amps. Is this alright?
