Hello everyone,
I bought a mid 80's Jotul 8 over the summer that i'm working on getting all set up for the up coming months. I noticed that there wasn't any type of gasket under the lift off top lid. Does anyone know if there is supposed to be a gasket there or not? I'm assuming that there should be one. Does anyone know the correct size rope gasket for that model if it does indeed need one?

Thanks again. Jeff.

Good question. I would expect a gasketed joint at the top lid. There is a gasket on the modern replacement, the F400. Maybe Craig will pop in and answer this one.
