My local Lowes has north American brand pellets for $219 per ton. Any advice about these?

They are the same as Curran blend. I found them to be OK.

Well I ordered 4 tons. The lady at the counter doesn't know if that's the same brand I'm going to get. She says they can't guarantee what brand is delivered. I have a St. Croix hastings and I haven't really had any issue burning any pellets, even lower quality, so I think I'll be OK. The other interesting thing was that she wouldn't take my 10% movers coupon. She said it won't stack with the "contractor rate" I was already getting since I was buying by the pallet. Does that sound right? Anyway it ended up costing just over $900 for 4 tons delivered. I'd look elsewhere, but I like the fact that I get 12 months with no interest on my Lowes card.

This is why I picked up my pellets last year from Lowes. 17 bags at a time for 6 days and I had my 2 tons that I needed for the winter. I read too many bad stories about people getting crap pellets delivered when they ordered greene teams.
I have heard that they started doing this and that's why I bought from a local pellet dealer. Got 3 tons MWP blend & 1 ton MWP softwood for $880 delivered back in April.
    That is nice....

I had the same experience at lowes in new hampshire; i explained to her that the movers coupon had been used for pellets in the past but she showed me an error message on the screen; it would appear to be a new company wide policy

Hopefully, you get Greene Teams instead. The North Amer. pellets are just fair, at best. And yes, they pulled the same thing w/ me about the coupon....said I couldn't use 2 discounts at the same time.

We just picked up 5 tons of Green Sumpremes at Lowes for $188/ton + delivery from S Attleboro. We asked the service desk for ONLY GS and she noted it on the order. When they called for delivery I asked to make sure they were GS and he said yes every thing on the truck were GSs. 10% coupon didn't work for me either.
I got scammed last yr on the Green Teams as they gave us 2 GT and 2GS....manager had the driver come back and take them and delivered the GTs a month later with no delivery charges on either delivery. 0% financing for 12 months is also nice too from Lowes

kinda a variation of the ole "bait and switch"? Get the folks in thinking they are getting a great deal, pull out the rug, and as they are still dazed, they still place the order anyways......

I just spoke with Lowes... and they stated that the GS are at the $188 - the GT are at $279. They shouldn't be switching them around at all.. If you order GS and get the GT - great you scored. If you payed the higher price. then I'd refuse delivery if you get anything other then the GT.

    So...
They have Green Supreme, North American, Maine's Choice, and Inferno all for $188.
    Green Team for $279

You can't stack any additional discounts on these sale prices, but you can use a military discount.

They are taking pre-orders and they are labeling tons which are claimed - pre-paid. And for me, delivery is $65. Although I didn't ask for how far they would deliver as I'm in town. they stated $65 for any number of tons - from 1-10.

This is what I found out from my Lowes.

Greene Teams are a good pellet however not for that price.

I rate the rest as follows and at 188 I think they are all worth it
    Maines Choice
    North American
    Green Supreme

Except Inferno....I would not buy them for any price

They had the North American last year at Lowe's. I did find quite a bit of bad reviews on them which is why I never bought them. They also had Maine's choice which is what I ended up buying... Interesting that they say Geneva Inc. on the bag. I wonder if they are the same thing? Either way I bought them last year. I stopped in everyday on the way to work and picked up 8 bags at a time until I had a ton. At $4.20 a bag it ended up $210 for the ton.

As someone else said. My buddy has a pallet of Green Teams delivered to his house and he returned them. he said they wouldn't burn, this was after buying green team from Lowe's and liking them. Weird that if you get them delivered they end up being crap?
