Anyone ever burn Agway wood pellets? 100% hardwood. They are 269$ a ton at Welch's hardware in Lebanon, Me. Just wondering about fines and ash content. Thx.

I've burned 1.5 tons of them this winter. The owner of our local Agway in Peterborough said they were New England Wood Pellets and they performed as my previous experience with NEWP. There seemed to be more fines at the bottom of the bags versus the last ton of NEWP I just purchased last week. I'm not sure if all Agway pellets are NEWP, though.

Thx for the info. I tried NEWP and they didn't work well for me.

The Agway closest to me sells the same thing, an employee there said they are the same pellet as NEWP.

I agree, likely NEWP. They are in this area anyway.

Mooselook, I'm gonna be talking to George in the spring about getting some softies. I got a couple tons there a few months ago for $250 each. They burn great! When I bought em, he said he could get more however, they were made by Valfei (Orford + Ambience) and as far as I know, were a limited run. He said he could get other brands though. Between myself and a buddy of mine, I reckon we'll be needing around 8 tons. If you were interested, we may be able to up the order and get a better price.

    PM me if yer interested.
