    Depending upon the stove and the heat loss of your house you can be sending the heat of a pound or so of pellets per hour up that flue without an OAK.

    I don't need a good steak either but I won't turn one down.

    But you will need a convection fan to move the air. 400 CFM or more is whats ideal. Natural convection isn't gonna cut it in the cold IMHO.

    Put the 45 up for sale and look into a 65. You'll be warmer.

    Where did you get the 45?
