OAK with a non airtight home

Would an OAK really help much with a home thats not really all that air tight? Im sure there is not a definate answer to that but i asked anyway.
 
It depends on how much air leaks out and how much leaks in. If the amount the stove consumes is just a small percentage then no. If the OAK can prevent more significantly more cold air from leaking in, you are ahead. The other consideration is overall pressure balance. If air leaks out easily but cold air is kept from replacing it, you may have a pressure deficit that affects the performance of the stove.
