Yeah, that pic doesn't show much. Bark pic and end grain might help. Pretty sure it's not Ash though. It doesn't look to be anything very substantial...maybe some shoulder season wood. On the plus side, it might dry a bit more quickly than a denser wood, if you are going to need it soon. Logs are generally not very dry inside...Heck. I dunno. Better picture of the bark would help. A leaf would seal the deal.
Ash, maybe? I don't have much ash, so I dunno.
Mulberry. Yellowish heart, white sapwood, open coarse sometimes wavy/irregular grain that looks like Red Oak/White Ash.
Can mulberry get 3-4 feet in diameter? It's very heavy.
I'll take a couple better pics.

Yes. I got a Mulberry scrounge last year that was 36" diameter
OK, disregard my first post. Mulberry is great stuff...and it is yellow and has rough, flaky bark. I got some for the first time this year but it was from a couple of small trees...maybe 8-10".Can mulberry get 3-4 feet in diameter? It's very heavy.

I say it still looks like Mulberry. Mostly because I see yellowish tinge to the bark and the end has turned classic MB red.
That bark is classic. I've never seen one that big though, more like 12-14". The BL I've gotten had nowhere near that thickness of sapwood.Still looks like bl to me.
It looks like Bl to me too, kind of looks like thistles mulberry too, either way, get it all.
