Hi, I'm giving some serious thought to getting one of these. It seems like there has been a lot of good feedback on them here. Would anyone care to share what they paid for the insert/options/shipping etc.? I will most likely do the (full chimney length) install myself.

There are a few reviews of this stove in the ratings section. You might want to get in touch with some of these owners. Looks like about $1600 is the average price last year.

I got a killer deal on the Napoleon 1401.

Stove was $538
Nickel door $310

Free shipping! :)

A week after I purchase mine it went up to $996 for the stove, which is where it is now, still free shipping and a very good deal compared to what dealers are selling the 1402 for around here ($2,600).

This was my first thread. The 1402 is identical to the 1401 with the exception of the sheet metal front ("updated look").
Second post down has link for 1401
