I have a QF Mt Vernon, the convection blower is not ramping up to speed when the stove is hot. If I take the thermocouple and apply it to the exhaust plenum the blower ramps up? The drop chute where the thermocouple normally sits is cold. What is causing this and how do I fix it?

The stove is clean and I have operated it for several years without issue.

Andy, it might help if you told us how old your stove is?

The 'thermocouple', or snap disk? I assume this is an older, non-AE Mt Vernon

6-7 years old. Thermocouple not snap disk
