Fun day splitting Ash and Soft Maple.

Looking great! I have never burned Maple before, but was able to get some from a tree service this spring. Looking forward to having that in my wood stove in a couple years!

1 solid year should do it on the maple.

Maple is all over here in MN Lone Gun so is not hard to get. The soft Maple dries within months. Here is an updTed pic.

Silver maple drys real fast. I split a cord of it this February and it already feels dry enough to burn. Haven't tested it, but it's light and cracking. Sounds like a drum stick
