When purchasing a wood stove, folks suggest being ove-rsized is better than undersized. The logic is that you can burn a couple of splits at a time verses a full load.

What are the general thoughts regarding this logic when sizing a pellet stove? Is it better to error on being over-sized?

Same. Go bigger. You can always turn the heat setting down. You DON'T want to hit a really cold spell and not have enough heat at max heat settings.

Ditto... I would go larger. A pellet stove can always be set to a lower heat level, and/or cycled with a thermostat.

Mine is a bit undersized for the space, and after being set back during the workday it can take a while to heat the room.

Same Go big or freeze you cans off! ;)

Ideally the stove should be 20 to 30% larger. Even a wee bit more ain't gonna hurt. I would go slightly more with a pellet stove as it does have the blast effect of a wood stove.

Most beer companies make their product in larger sizes to meet your needs. ==c

Now me, I prefer the "other" cans in a somewhat larger size. ;)

Another vote for the bigger. The boss and I can both warm our cans in front of it at the same time.

Don't come crying to us if your under sized pellet stove can't handle the load you'll get no sympathy from any of this bunch.

If you want to under size them then install more than one.

I don't make the rules just try to get folks to play by them. You are a big Wenderoth the choice is yours.

To the OP there are a lot of rebels in the ranks, some times that can be a good thing, and sometimes not a good thing.
