I'm thinking a Pine but I hear the Moose has been around eating the bark off trees in our area.
zap
Porcupine.Sorry Zap my small brain doesn't get it. I get the Moose part (I think) but not the Pine part. We ain't got no moose on LI .
Porcupine.
The tree being stripped is a Maple, most likely a porcupine doing it. Up the hill to the right we have a porcupine living in a big ole maple for the last four years.Pretty small teeth marks if that helps you choose
Never see moose eating or stripping spruce here, alder & willow primary food here.
Pine smelling moose droppings around ? LOL
That has to be one of the best paraprosdokians I have seen in a while.Porcupine.
He's a big bastard, I've seen him about four times going by. Just more wood we have to burn, looks like the Cherry in front of the Maple will need to come down.I'm with BD and the others that said porcupine. too small of teeth marks IMO. Shoot the bugger and bury him in a shallow grave.......
