Kitchen Queen 480 is the only heat source. 62* in the farthest bedroom from stove. 1900 sf single level home.
Designed to heat up to 3000 sf with oven door open, I run all night with oven door open, oven "off", not in circulation mode. Mornings I crank it up to cook breakfast, and pull the oven lever to circulate around oven with door open. House gains 5* every two hours. This is the optimum heat output at cruise. Can only take about 4 hours of that, and close air down to 1/2 shutter with oven "off" all day.
That is normal operation of the stock stove. Last summer I added a 3 inch square air inlet below grate for coal capability and automatic temperature control. This keeps the temps much more even with only 5* variation day and night. (The stove loses it's UL listing when modified or burning coal) This thermostat is used on Hitzer hopper fed coal stoves and popular in the Amish community.
