Still getting stove ready for the cold season, stove is an older model an I assumed door gasket had never been changed and it was rough looking,so I decided to change it.On first attempt I realized it wasnt right as could smell the stove when we had a fan in window circulating cool air over nite.So redid and spent extra time to ensure a good job.Cant smell stove anymore and seems like a very nice fit.Now the issue I have is when I close door to test unit, the feed auger isnt coming on,if I open door and start to reclose it will come on and with door secured it stays on,does this mena vacuum switch not up to par?

Make sure the tubing that connects to the vacuum switch is not clogged; also the fitting at the stove end. One way is to pull the tubing off the vacuum switch and blow through it into the stove.

You're welcome! If that's all you did, and the stove now works, that was the problem. It doesn't take much to block the very slight vacuum that operates the switch. It's not like the vacuum in a car manifold, it's just a reduction in pressure, and a very slight one at that.
Glad you got it going!

P.S. - thanks for the follow up!
