we looked into them, GREAT specs for the one we looked at, but couldnt justify their price

They've been around for years out here. I burned them one year. They burned fine in the 1200i. IIRC they were a little less clean than Blazers, but still quite good. One benefit is the pellets smell great when poured into the hopper.
 
A company just yet called me and asked if I would like a few free bags of 100% Douglas Fir Wood Pellets to try out and give them feedback on....sound like a new pellet coming on to the market. I'll be letting you all know as more unfolds.

Scott, do you know the name of these new pellets?

Is there any BTU ratings? Fines, Sodium content?

specs would be nice, in particular SALT contents (Chlorides)......
