2-sided corner fireplace ideas

New here...I hope this is the best place to post my question.

Just bought a new home in north Texas. It has a 2-sided corner fireplace that is a bit ugly and limits how we set up our entertainment room.

Is it possible to close off the left side and build a wall to center the fireplace on the wall? Photo attached.

No, you cannot do that. That fireplace is meant to be installed EXACTLY as you see it.
If you wish to change that installation, you will have to pull the unit & replace it with
a conventional (one-sided) fire place. Unless you have a bucket load of money & wish
to live with the demolition & construction process, it has to stay that way. Sorry...
