And again tonight, rain, freezing rain, and to top it off
4 to 6 inches of fluffy white stuff and 40 to 50 mph windes
Think I'll say in bed Tomorrow

[Hearth.com] 2025 severe weather

The rain won't be real heavy up here, just over half an inch of rain tomorrow.

Yesterday had some hard rains and thunderstorms. In a town adjacent to mine, there was flash flooding with several road closures due to road washouts and culvert failures. That included at least one main state road. Another town, not too far from me had hail.

We had more rain overnight, again today but it looks like we have some dry warmer weather moving in this week.

I saw that storm on the radar. We only got the tip of it. We get all the moisture coming off the Golf of America.

In less than 10 minutes I got 3/4" of rain. A little over an hour later I had a bit over 1.5" of rain. Less than 2 hours later, I had nearly 3.75" of rain and emptied the gauge. Looks like I got another 1/2", so a total of 4.25" in a short period of time. Town had several road closures for flooding and washout. That included shutting down part of the main road between Concord and Keene (rt 202/9). I hear it was scary taking the off ramp to get to the detour area in town as it was 1/2 washed out also. Peoples driveways were washing out as well as basements/garages flooding.

Abutting town, Antrim, also had to shut down rt101, which is the main road between My town and Peterborough. I'm sure they had a bunch of washouts too.

It's heading my up the east coast. Early Sunday morning looks pretty bad here but nothing like there.

A buddy just sent me a video of his basement with a few inches of water in it.

Mine’s still dry, but I have some water flowing in a drainage trough. It’ll jump the trough if it lees raining like this.

It's 9:30pm ish here and saw lightning and heard thunder. The storm from the east coast has arrived. It looks like I'm in the direct path.
Could get almost 1/2 inch an hour at times. I'm glad to be cosy at home sitting in front of the fire and watching Out of Africa

Careful with the TV on in the lightning storm! You’re still burning?

Yes it looks like I'll be burning 365 if this cool spring sticks. Today got a bit humid but 16C now and I'm in the start of a storm.
I don't need to run it, but it's usually 18C when I go down to the basement to watch TV. Tonight I had it up to 25C down there and then went to get my hoodee.

I was wearing a hoodie today at 70F/21C. It wasn’t cold, but it keeps the black flies/buffalo gnats off.

Lucky! You’ve got the little ones up there!

Oh gosh, is it not raining up there? Last month we couldn’t get all of our scheduled work done due to all of it!

Biggest wind storm of the year here. Only .85” power went out for a few minutes a couple times.

Wow, that shows some intense crap happened right over my sister's place.

Headed out to sea I think. I don't need it tracking up here. Still on the cooler side here. Running the stove tonight in romance mode.
Going down to 8C overnight I guess. We got through the rain, but I saw many puddles today in ditches that rarely have any water.

I ended up with a little bit of water in the basement. Not much. I’m happy.

A few minor power outages. We didn’t get an hail. Less than an inch. A few good gusts.
