I am thrilled with my gasifier. Came home tonight to a rather cool house (no fire since last night and temps in the mid-teens outside). Lit the boiler, and 24 minutes later, it's sending 186 degree water to the house system, and the temperature is climbing nicely. That's from no coals, no nuthin' -- one small armload of kindling and two armloads of firewood, with some newspaper, arranged in the "NoFo" method - boiler was 72 degrees when I lit it.
