So I recenlty bought a house in the burbs. Typical new construction. The house has a zero clearance FB in the living room. The chimney runs up the side of the house and is boxed in with vinal all the way up. I'd like to put some bluestone down in front of the existing FP and vent the stove using a new s/s liner (which would run through the damper and up the existing flue)

My only concern is the required clearances. I'd like to put the stove as close to the ZC FP as possible. I'm looking at relatively small stoves (Hearthstone Tribute, VC Resolute). Anyone else try this?
