That's ridiculous. Perhaps Bernie Madoff can order one for his cell, though I think his cell exceeds 1,000 Sq. Ft.

I guess I am going to have to settle for the silver plate.

I am going to have to pass. They can't get it installed in time to get the tax credit. >:-(

Thanks BrotherBart!

Could you explain the alcove requirements for this?

I bet it holds the heat well. I'd like to know how much gold. I bet its not even 1/2 million.

Does it come with a cute guy to load it for me?? And chop the wood, and stack the wood, and clean the chimney... shirtless...

For half the four mil I would do that stuff. But at 63 the shirtless part ain't a pretty site. :ahhh:

At least it's appropriately named, it's an ugly dog. Maybe you use this to burn you spare cash in, or worthless stock certificates? Got Lucent anyone?

That thing is uglier than a Blaze King...

For 2 million I will sell someone my Jasper Drolet and a can of high quality spray paint.... And it will heat a few more square feet :)

And people wonder why alarmists come along who say the end is near?

Whoever buys it will show up here pissed because the chimney install is going to cost fifteen hundred.

Do I get that date? :)

Nice! It's local pick up only. Depending on location, that road trip might get pricey. Not 4 mil, but maybe not a cheap date

A standard cost benefit analysis would not recommend this stove. How many folks would spend this much money heating a similar amount of space with oil or gas counting capital and running costs)? This stove is not all that efficient. Strongly recommend that potential buyers consider cheaper alternatives.

It's in MA. That can be managed BG. Want me to get on it? ;-)

Craig picks it up. LTL freight picks it up at his place.

But if Lowe's has one marked down at the end of the season...

And then they will be here complaining about $300/cord firewood. Cheapskate!

And the sweep who charged them $150 "and it only took him 10 minutes!"

HAHAHAHAA!!!

I wonder if they have a dealership opportunity open in my area. I really should get in on this.

Not only will they be ticked at the 1500 install and the 300 per cord for green wood....

Imagine the insurance company surcharge on a policy that will cover a home and a 4 million dollar stove?

Merry Christmas to the insurance broker who gets someone to sign and pay that premium.

I have a better idea for whoever is tempted to purchase this unit....

Lets convince the person to purchase 1000 woodstove installations at about 4000 a pop..... And give them away to heath.com members who will in turn give them to friends who would love to have wood heat but who are too cash flow poor to get it going. The warmth the potential purchaser will receive for doing this massive good deed will warm them up far longer than spending 4 million on an ego bloating purchase.

The more I think about this 4 million dollar stove, and project like it, it heats me up but not in a good way. I am all for capitalism but it is stupidity like this that gives free enterprise and self sufficiency proponents a bad name. Oops. I guess this could be a thread hijacking but as a small "c" conservative who believes that in many instances we can best take care of our own families and our own communities as compared to centralizing huge amounts of power or money this stove has really hit a nerve this early Boxing Day morning..... As I sit by my stove contemplating the world and life.

My head has also been going last night and this morning based in part on a Kijiji ad for a secluded cabin.

But most folks want just a cheap stove. They want to save some dollars and get the cheapest stove they can find. Then many spend more in installing than they do on the stove. Only then, after installing it will they think of the wood.

I wonder what 3 month old oak would burn like in that gold thing?
