Has anyone put DuraTech 6" stovepipe ( 8.2" outer diameter with those little lips on the ends ) thru an 8" wall thimble. I dont know if there is any extra on the hole size. They describe them as having an 8" opening but not 8.2 ................

If its the duratech wall thimble with the black inner and galv out it will fit. I have worked on a stove with a 6" and it went through fine.

Simpson is good product, look in the catalog and instructions. If they say a part will work / fit, it will.
