80 Degrees of Separation

Set a new record for us today, heating with only wood insert, 69 degrees in the living room and -11 outside. Anyone else have record splits today?

Not today, but last year...I had a 101 degree of separation with wood only. House at 74F and outside temps at -27 (actual). That was my personal best. This year I have had 87 degrees of separation (72F inside, -15F outside).

-17 overnight & 70 degrees in the living room where the stove is ( only about 1000 sq ft total heated area though ).

Its not really fun to think that the temps would have to raise 59 degrees just to get to freezing.

edit - as for my house it was -5 outside and 67 inside at 5am - 72 degrees.

I've only got 77 deg but if you factor in the 'realfeel' from accuweather with the bitter wind we have it works out to 92. I could crank up the Equinox a bit and hit 100.

96 degree difference last week -26 outside and 70 inside but don't get me wrong this old place didn't hold there for very long, it was a battle. And by the way I hope to never post on this thread again !!

Converted from celcius... last winter -40f outside and 80.6 inside... 120 degree differential roughly. Super 27 in 1100 sqft of super well insulated cabin.

94 difference between outside and inside yesterday. Just getting used to the new Osburn 2200, 83 is a bit too hot for inside.

I've had it 85+ in the stove room.... and -15F outside burning a load of locust with the stack at about 500 w/ my old smoke dragon. old ass air leaking barely insulated house....

Of course the caveat is that it was in the stove/dining room. I think it was barely 60 in the kitchen or the farthest room on the porch.
