The Wood Will Be Delivered Next Week

Right now the wood in the yard is cut, stacked and dry for next year and a good portion of 2014. Like in 2010, this load should be 8 cords until 2016. Same price as 2010 too, $800. What is everyone else paying for a truckload of logs? I am in Southern NH.

Ive been thinking of getting a load once Im caught up, its about $500 and they say 5-6 cords. Probably a healthy 5 cords so you end up paying just a tad under $100 a cord. Lately though Ive been seeing a lot of guys selling green cords for $135-150 a cord delivered. One guy says all oak and some ash, I ordered 2 cords of ash so Ill see if he comes through. For that price I might as well buy it split.

Dang; I'd give my eye teeth for a load like that! It'd give me something to do after work other than train my Labs and drink beer! I guess I need to put more "feelers" out! I'm hugely jealous

In this area of NY they are charging 250 a cord and IT AINT EVEN THAT GOOD. So i resorted to getting my own wood. Went out and got me a truck about 6 weeks ago and in that time i have close to 5 cords, most of which will be ready for this coming winter. A few more cords and I will break even with the truck price. (she is an old one but a darn hard worker)

If you PM member Remkel, he can give you info on a supplier - I'm almost certain he paid $1000 for a 9 cord load - I believe the supplier was Damon's Lumber. Cheers!

Nope, no relation, I live in an area where there are a lot of loggers. $70 a cord is pretty much the "going" price, although oak may go for up to $90. I only live about 4 miles from the logger so he cuts me some what of a break.

I have a load coming today (hopefully), for 5-6 cord. It was supposed to be here Thursday. But he had problems at the Mill and wasn't gonna be to my house until 9 p.m... Having kids, thats not acceptable.

Its about as weatherguy stated above. 5-6 cord for $500. But it will consist of 90% Dead Ash, all straight and between 14"-18" in diameter. It can be had cheaper.. If you want twisted, mangled, and softer woods (Silver Maple, Pine, Cottonwood). It gets close to $50-$75 cord.

If I get over to his house anytime soon.. I will take some pics of his Firewood processor. Its the "Cats Meow"! !!

All oak, and it took me a while to get it all done.
