good morning all from snowy Missouri 20in on the ground a record!

anyway does anyone know of the current free standing gas heaters if any of them have any sort of a heat exchanger? Looking at my old vermont castings gas stove all i see is a cast iron cavity with some articicial logs in there. I think I may be getting 55 to 60% efficiency..


Checking other models I dont see things have changed much? Some of them claim 80% efficiency but when you check closely that isnt really true!

I sure see the present stove running a lot and its not all that cold outside. I had a non-vented stove before that put out a lot more heat but it made other problems.
