Well where a door closes God opens a new one! I was getting fire wood from a friend I know but tells me he's selling his house and I wont be able to get anymore:(. None the less saw a tree guy cutting a tree down and went over to ask what he would be doing with it, he said I could have the big stuff oooofff! So I said SURE, so in helping him out ended up making friends and wouldn't you know it he gets quit a bit and asked me if I would want more LOL. Uh, YEAH!!!! Oh and I got to use his 4 foot bar Stihl MS 660 oh man that thing was a beast if your looking for a chainsaw that's the one!!!! I helped him clean up the brush, raked and there you go don't miss out of a blessing!

In the pics it is hickory (shagbark), cherry, some blackberry and beech. And on the trailer is the maple I got from that "tree guy". Yes I loaded 98% of it and unloaded 99.9% of it my little girl did help lol.

Only in the USA. ;) Starts you out with some Shagbark? Don't lose that guy's number!
Blackberry?? Here, it doesn't get much bigger than a bush; Not even worth messing with. ;lol
A woodworker would like to have a couple of those burls.
Last pic looks like that wood has been sitting a while....better get crackin'! ;)

Nice score. Hope you have a splitter for those monsters with the burls.

That is awesome. Helping someone out and getting a nice pile of free wood in return. :)

Nice score chop, plus you got to run the "big boy saw".
Can't beat that!

Ya, the first time you get to run one of those saws stays in your memory. It is a good experience.

That's a really good score, Chopernator. Even better, it looks like you've linked up with a great source for future BTU's. Good on ya for helping with cleanup.

"Don't mind the mule, load the wagon " LOL. Full load + there ;)

All good wood AND
the Hickory is like gold (IMO).
Get it split & keep it separate .

Nice score Sav!...Hey how did you like the saw?? I ask cause I just ordered one, and am kind of wingin' it. My Husky blew up and have no patients to fix again. All the tree services around me seem to be using Stihls nowadays.

Those are some interesting looking burls. Cut them off flush with the trunk and see what is inside. Could be a desirable item for a wood worker who is into that kind of stuff.
