Advice on Pellet Stove

Hey guys & gals,

1st time posting here... I live in Western MA and looking to rid myself of the surging heating bills thanks in part to the Healey admin . I'm looking to get a pellet stove for my main floor (~900'²) which I would situate in my living room on an interior wall and went straight up and out through my ceiling/roof. I'm wondering if anyone has any reccomendations for a good quality more rustic-ish looking pellet stove for this space that won't break the bank ideally under $1500 but if you know of a great option slightly higher cost feel free, much appreciated!

I'm unsure what your definition of "rustic" is.

If you want a more plain pellet stove, Harman P43 would do well in that space and should have enough extra that you won't need to run it full blast. I have a P43 on my main floor (960 sq/ft) and does is great. Caution, a P61 would be way too big (ask me how I know - LOL). You can often find P43 on CL or FB Marketplace for fairly reasonable prices. New stoves can be pricey, but they are tanks and will last a good long time with basic maintenance and care.

I set up my stove to replace a corner installed St Croix Hastings (it was a good stove but did not fit my lifestyle well at the time), which is why you can see the OAK, thimble and exhaust a bit to the left. I bought the P43 used for $1,000 (rare deal in late spring after a warm winter and they needed to get rid of it as they were moving to another state - so don't be disappointed if you can't find that - LOL). This was at set up

After installing a hopper extension (the heat shield isn't strictly needed as it is the required distance from the wall, but the wall got warmer than I liked, so the shield was cheap insurance.

At your price point, I would look for a used good-quality stove.
A Harman or Envrio are first to come to mind An Maridian Cast or a M55 Cast

I have had great luck with the Enviro Mini. No frills. I have had it for well over 10 years. Just a couple of ingitors replaced, and that's it. I see they have an F3 that seems to have more bells and whistles. Mini is probably half the expense of a Harman, but if you have the cash, I would go with Harman.
