Hello... I am new to wood burning and I have a pretty big stove US 3000.. it has a 3.1 cubic foot firebox. It works good but I have only had it for a year.
What I notice going on when burning hard woods or pine or anything is that the back and sides do not burn very well but in the center front, where the single intake is, burns great... What I would like to do is fabricate a little square air intake diverter so I can switch the air flow from the front to the back via a toggle. i have a design in mind but I wanted to get some thoughts on if it's a plausible idea and why or why not.
