Does the air intake flange/aluminum flex behind the stove need to be sealed fully like the pellet vent?
If so, what is the reason? Jerry.
 
I sealed mine for the only reason being cold air is getting around and leaking in where the hose goes thru the metal coverplate into the wall.

I'm assuming your talking about the connection of the air intake pipe to the stove?

If so, No, a pipe clamp or similar is just fine.
