I am a proud and satisfied Woodstock progress hybrid owner but when it came time to get my mother a stove in her house I ordered her a Blaze king ashford 30. Here are some some my reasons
1st I'm on the Canadian side and that exchange is rough. 2nd duties at the border another 500$ Canadian ( 350 U.S) 3rd I just really wanted to be able to compare them side by side as my mother lives 40 ft away and it's gonna be me loading and starting her stove 90% time. I can't wait and I'll post my finding on here.

I haven't even seen a BK in person yet, since it's a considerable drive to get to a dealer. From what I've seen in the Keystone and Fireview, I'm impressed with the quality and well-thought-out engineering. And I want a good grated ash system if I can get it. How come you didn't consider a Woodstock Absolute or Ideal? Did she have to have a prettier stove? What about the bottom-line price to Canadia, Woodstock Steels vs. BK? Nice that you can take care of Mom. I used to load the Buck twice a day at my MIL's. Sometimes I'd show up and she would be snoozing in the recliner, close to the blessed heat.
But yeah, some of those I would pass on. For me, all of them except Woodstock since they're the only ones that rear-vent.
