Another ZC/Stove question...

Yes...another ZC Stove question please. I would like to place a cast iron Franklin in front of my ZC. Then run a rear exit - and connect it to a liner running down the current chimney. I would be leaving the ZC intact. The pictures show what I want. Pictures are of the Franklin top-bottom and sides only. I have it all apart for restoration.
The hearth would be extended. I have two and a half inches of clearance on the bottom and two to three on top. THANKS in advance! I have searched till I get a headache on this.
The ZC is in good shape, it just does not HEAT!

And neither will the Franklin you wont be gaining much of any efficiency at all. That stove needs 36" to any combustible material. That includes the framing behind that stone. So no you cannot place it where you want to.

Thanks Holler for the reply. Three feet of clearance? Yes, the framing behind the stone...I was going to put cement board under the stone work. May I ask...what about a smaller stove in front of the ZC so I can get some heat?

With an efficient stove you will get some heat yes.

First off you still have to maintain proper clearances. If you could take all the stove off then do a proper ventilated heat shield under it you could reduce the clearances to 12". And how are you planning on putting cement board behind the stone? Are you removing all of the stone to do that?
