A ton of pellets in the basement ready to keep me nice and toasty. Have my UPS ready and tested this morning checked my surge suppressor and all good. have the snow shovel by the front door and both cars filled with gas. an extra 25 gallons in storage. food and BEER in the fridge. Water in the tubs?
It didn't think there would be much wind or ice or heavy wet snow with this event, hence maybe not many power outages, but who knows.

Getting gas on the way home for the blower. I'll fill the tank up on the car while there. Got to load up on munchies and brews too!

I'm stayin home tomorrow. I think I could get to work its the heading home trip that worries me. Got vacation days that are just beggin to be used. Would rather take them once fishing season opens, Guess we could go ice fishin?

gave the stove a good cleaning yesterday. just have to pick up a 30 pack and get gas. blower and gen all set.

With me and the kid in the house. the wife always keeps 1/2 years supply. Funny it never lasts that long. I think she schedules her usuage. Keeps forgeting me and the kid are full of chit. We're more worried will get a log jam than running out of TP. :p

Good to know, There isn't any leaves on the trees this time a year!

just a thought have a sipon hose if you run out of gas

to do what with? its very difficult to get gas out of a car with a siphon hose not impossible

I'm tanking up the cars today. thats about it. If we lose power for more than 1 night, i'm shutting the water off and heading south for the weekend :D go see a nice hotel somewhere in pa or something.

i can see some of us where never young ,and dumb ,used to pull into a shopping mall back up to a car and with a holly pro stock 12volt elec pump fill up our cars?????remember i said young and dumb, have since learned the error of my younger days !

Heres my check list for after work today:
  • buy gas for the snow blower
  • fill up both cars in case I need to run an inverter off them
  • stop at HD for some pellets
  • buy beer
  • fill the tub
  • set up inverter 'just in case'
  • start drinking the beer

just a thought have a sipon hose if you run out of gas
The newer cars have a Roll over valve in case the car rolls over almost makes it impossible to siphon gas so look for the older model cars or expect to get really frustrated trying

I've been marrid to my wife 23 years, we've been together 28 years in total, but I don't think I've ever loved her more than today when she texted me "Heading out to buy mass quantities of alcohol to ride out the storm, what would you like?"

What a woman. :)

We're supposed to be just on the fringe of the storm so they have no idea whether we're going to get 2 inches or 10. I usually get my 3 wheel barrow loads of firewood to bring in the house for the week on Saturdays, so that means I'm just about out of firewood in the house. DOH!<>

But the good news is I still have 2 1/2 ton of pellets!!:)

Got 1 3/4 tons Keystone pellets on back porch...snow blower all set and ready to go!! Just waitin for the ride to begin!

NO DAMN IT! EVERYONE STOP IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was in such a rush to get out the door this morning I went to work in my slippers....c'mon mother nature, I'm already booking into March, this isn't good.

My sister did that once. Made it to the bus stop and realized she had her bedroom slippers on..... true story.....

They just updated the storm information for my zip code. I am in the 'localized pocket' that may get 2-3 ft.

Hell yes!!!!

My wife just emailed me this. :)

When I was a kid my mother sent me to school with the cardboard still in the collar of a brand new shirt,... had sores on my neck when I got home,... true story.

Brought in extra wood for the wood burner, plenty of pellets, new box of wine for her, fresh 30 pack for me:cool: and if I have to break in to it tonight get another one tomorrow good to go

Not a matter if I break into the 30 pack or when , IT already happened;lol
