Ash overflow

6th winter with my stove and for the first time I had to shut down within a week, to empty the ash pan and clean the stove out. I do a weekly clean, and everytime the pan is only about 3/4 full. Less than five days in and the ash was overflowing and creeping up the Door. Been burning the Green Supremes from Lowes. Have done so for a couple of years now and never seen this much ash.
Only buy about two weeks at a time , so if a bad batch will be ok. Checked the stove after cleaning, and all seems in order.

Make sure your pot holes are clear as this is quite important to proper combustion and ash ejection.

Holy crap, I could probably go 6 weeks without emptying the ash bin. I only empty when I shut it down once a month.

I've been burning cheap pellets and they seem ashy too. I can normally run a 3/4 of a ton on the ash pan but this year for some reason it's less than 1/2 ton. Running super hard though 2-3 bags a day.
