Evening. First post here I think.
I have a Atlanta Box #27 I resurrected and restored for outside use under a covered porch for warmth
Question is : Should or can you put fire brick in it on bottom and/or sides, use a grate or use nothing at all.
Are there pros or cons to all 3 if any. Is their a safety or warning issue with any of those three

thanks in advance

Here’s a picture of it in use

Put an inch of sand in the bottom before the first fire.

Purpose of that ? I’ve been using it already.
Had a grate in it that raised it up about 2-3 inches.
Was wondering what , if anything do people use in these under the wood. Grate, brick or nothing
