Gonna build a barrel stove. I got the barrel, the kit is incoming.

It's going in my workshop, on a concrete slab 16x32.

I'm a paranoid guy, so my question is this:

Is single wall pipe acceptable for this application? With 18"+ clearance to combustibles, and a double wall "through the wall" piece, am I gonna regret not having shelled out the extra dough?

The roof is high, so it's a considerable savings to not buy double wall the whole way.

Thanks!

Not the cheapest stuff, don't use galvanized hot air duct for the stove pipe. Use black metal stove pipe.
