Digging into my primo wood now and have forgotten how well and how much heat beech throws. Mixing it in with my ash and white oak now. May not be getting the typical burn times now keeping the stove cranked up but it sure is comfortable in here !
Beech is under rated for the heat it puts out in my opinion. Im pretty sure with this cold everyone's burn times are down. Having a warm house when it is this cold is everything.

Last jan i got into my pile of beech. 2 yrs css, but the tarp over it i found out had done nothing to keep moisture out. It was on the planned burn schedule and i didnt have much else ready so i did what i could with. Resplit some, dry out inside as much as poss, mixed in with what little else i had dry. All in all it burned ok, but i never got out of it what i should have. 1/2 cord is left and been in the shed for months. Looking forward to seeing how dry 3 yr beech burns. Expectations are high.
Alot of here is being killed by beech bark disease. So the bulk of what i have is from dead standing. In my opinion its just as hard on the saw as hickory or locust dead standing. Get good long blue secondaries off of it.
