Presuming you have the kind of wood stove insert that gets a surface area got enough to heat cookware

Looking for items good for boiling water, percolating coffee, frying an egg whatever on a limited surface area of course....and go

Never cooked on my stove . . . but I have cooked in it. Hot coals with a seasoned cast iron frying pan . . . you wouldn't believe how quick a rib eye or chuck eye can sear up and cook in this manner. Just be sure to have very good insulated gloves as the frying pan can get mighty hot.
