Just had a bird in the flue and then ended up in the firebox. Must have tried to build a nest in the top of the flue but fell down. We have only just stopped burning this year about 2 weeks ago. I opened the stove door and i was thinking of the best way to catch him when he just flew out of the stove and out of the opened lounge door. He had a go at pecking the glass rope while he was in there. Had a fire last night to try and stop any further nest builders.

he's been in 3 times now. I will have to sort the flue cap out at the weekend. The last time he took a wrong turn and ended up flying around the house.....
. If a live one gets loose in the house they really make a mess
from all that chimney cleaning they did on the way down....
