Did your stovepipe loose its shiny luster and get become a darker hue of black after some hot burns? Mine has and I was wondering if it was normal or not...

My Heat-Fab pipe which was not very shiny in the first place has changed color. Maybe not darker, but more of a matte finish. I think it's normal.

Quite normal, I find that if you get a good quality stove black polish and do a deep rub when the pipe is cool then buff when it is very warm but not hot you will get a nice satin finish that holds up very well.
