I have search google for about an hour now trying to get a price range on the bk king and princess modles with no luck. I was just woundering the price range I called my local Blaze king dealer and was told i could buy the princess 1006 ultra with black door, and blower for $2,700 tax included. so i quess my question is does this sound like a decent deal?

Any Any takers on this or opinions?

Blaze, Keep shopping, speak with all the BK dealers within 200 miles of you and get the best price.

In my case I was told that the BK princess insert retails for $2,500. Thats what they were asking close to Minneapolis.
As I started e-mailing deals about 120 miles away the price dropped to $2,250 to 2,038. I e-mailed the lowest price dealer and asked him for a end of heating season deal and asked for another 10% off this price. He did $150 plus I didnt want the gold door and that was another $50 off. So I got the insert for $1,843. I got lucky
I drove to Wisconsin about 240 miles round trip. Good Luck, Jim

Just remember Blaze King dealers are supposed to service their local territory. Blaze King is very strict with the dealer. We get long range calls pricing stoves all the time and always quote straight list price. I dont like the bidding war game. To honor other dealers we will not ship out of state. If some one wants to drive a long distance to pick one up thats great. We are currently offering 12 months same as cash financing on our inventory rather than just offering discounts and if we see you in person you might get some other perks as well.
I prefer dealing with my customers face to face and not doing everything by phone or email.

Good luck in your quest, you will not reget bying a Blaze King.

Lots of companies, if not most, seem to have that "local" dealer price fixing game going on. I hate it and think it benefits the local dealer at the expense of the customer. One might say that this is good since without the exclusive game the local dealer would die and then service would be hard to find but to that I say that the local dealer must have been taking too much profit. The manufacturers are trying to keep their big purchasers (the local store) in business and stick the single purchaser with his overhead.

Some of the better dealers will quote and ship stoves across the country even if the manufacturer tries to forbid it. I believe that you can mail order a hearthstone or PE stove through the site of a hearth.com member.

Prices on these stoves are way out of line IMHO. The cost of manufacture, marketing and distribution considered....one is still paying a fat price.

Trim the fat, I say.

But then, I already have.

I was quoted $2900 for a princess insert with black door and small surround. I thought the $1800 deal was for a demo model?

unused floor model.

There is no BK dealer in Minneapolis, I want the best price I can get.

I e-mailed Blaze King about four days ago and ask if they could measure the fire box and give me the inside dimensions but I have yet to get a reply maybe there haveing problems finding a tap measure lol.

Solar/winds messurements
Blaze King Princess
17” Deep
20.5” Wide
12.5” High (fire brick to bottom cat)
Advertized box of 2.8 cu ft
My measurements 2.52 cu ft ---(17x20.5x12.5)/1728=2.52097cu ft---
Metal construction looked flimsy for the money and reputation.
It had the thinnest metal of all the stoves I have here (have not seen the Napoleon)
Would be interested in King 1107 (largest box in my list @ 4.32 cu ft advertized)

I was just quoted $3,000 for one with black doors and standard surround. Im not paying that much with other options, I can get a Buck 91 for $2200.
I could have got a Kuma Sequoia for $2000 but it doesnt fit into my fireplace that was his last one cash and carry.
I have my choices narrowed down to a BK Princess or a Buck 91 insert.

The search continues.

Weatherguy,
I cannot believe that $3,000 price. You could make a summer vacation/roadtrip out to the midwest and get one from a lower priced dealer.

I am trying to figure out what kind of hearth (material) I am gonna use for the install with the BK PI.

Good luck, on finding one! Jim
