Has anyone installed a blower on this model? Recently purchased blower and when installing noted there's only the upper l brackets to screw heat shield on and instructions call for four. The blower itself is not tapped for screws. In addition, the shield does not sit flush at top with stove. Is this typical? Can't find much online.

Were the L-brackets installed too? That is what the lower part of the new shield attaches to.

The new shield should extend above the stovetop. It has a bend at the top so that the blower air is deflected to blow across the stovetop.

The l brackets attach to the upper plate that covers the catalytic combuster. The top of the heat shield attaches there, just no place to screw in the bottom. However, there's an opening where a screw goes into top of blower mechanism. Was able to add a washer which secures the plate better.
Thank you for the info about the bend at the top; that makes sense.
